Performer

Jacqueline enjoys an exciting career that includes solo, chamber music, and orchestral performances. Praised as an “expressive and masterful violinist” who brings both “sensitivity and thoughtful musicianship” and “sparkling energy and flare” to her performances, she has appeared throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. She served as a fellow at the Opéra Bastille (Paris, France) and at the Dutch Orchestra and Ensemble Academy and received a Kenneth Cornell Foundation Research Grant to pursue studies at the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) in Paris, France.

As a member of the Yale Collegium, she performed on the Naxos recording of the Mendelssohn and Bach Magnificats, led by Simon Carrington. She also performed on the recording of Raphaël Lucas’s Confession for Albany Records, which won First Prize in the National Opera Association Chamber Opera Award and is featured on the film soundtracks of Lily in the Grinder (2014) and The Bohemians.

Leader

Described as a “fearless leader” Jacqueline is a trail blazer in the field. From 2017-2020, she served as the Director of Education of the Sphinx Organization whose mission is to transform lives through the power of diversity in the arts. In this role, she directed all artistic and programmatic aspects of the Sphinx Performance Academy in partnership with the Curtis and Cleveland Institutes of Music and The Juilliard School, creating summer solo and chamber music intensives for Black and Latinx young artists. In 2020, she adapted all three programs to take place in the virtual space due to COVID-19. She also directed the Sphinx Overture program, which provides violin instruction for hundreds of students throughout Detroit and Flint, MI.

Jacqueline was selected by the Orchestra of the Americas to participate in The Global Leaders Program, an executive program for impact-focused arts entrepreneurs. She currently serves as a Project Mentor for the Program, guiding the development and evaluation of social enterprise projects.

Jacqueline remains active as a consultant and thought leader in the field and has been invited as a guest speaker for UNC Chapel Hill’s Alone/Engaged Series, Projeto Guri (São Paulo, Brazil), and SphinxConnect.
